Our Tauranga team continues to grow with the addition of Alex du Plessis as a Senior Engineer.
Alex has a BTECH Arch (Management), and started his career in opencast coal mining operations in South Africa. He later joined Rand Water, a large water utility company which supplies water to the Greater Johannesburg and Pretoria areas (approx. 15 million people), where he was involved with pipeline construction drawings and easement plans.
After moving to New Zealand in 2006, Alex took up a post with MWH in Auckland before moving to the sunny Bay of Plenty, working in and around Tauranga for various consultants in the land development sector.
Alex is looking forward to joining the CKL Tauranga team in a design and project management capacity, as CKL continues to find significant work in the civil and environmental engineering space.
When not busy working, Alex enjoys playing the guitar and saxophone, as well as restoring old furniture.
