The University of Waikato - Pā Project
Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato Te Pā
The University of Waikato is building an innovative and versatile new marae and student hub, The Pā, which will transform the on-campus experience for students, staff, visitors and the wider community. CKL is proud to have been part of the resource consenting team providing traffic and transportation expertise to support this innovative and iconic development. Designed in consultation with students, staff and community, the Pā development will cover a footprint of 6,394 square metres and is the largest capital works project in the Hamilton campus’ 55 year history. The Pā will provide a new main entrance to the campus, a social, cultural and learning hub, food outlets, a space for community events and performances, and a new University marae. It is scheduled for completion in approximately mid-2022.
