We are thrilled to announce that one of our Trainee Surveyors based in our Te Awamutu office, Matthew Mahutonga, has been awarded Survey and Spatial New Zealand’s 2022 CSNZ scholarship for the National Diploma in Surveying! Matthew was part of a great group of applicants this year, and the team reviewing the applications noted that they were all of a very high standard. This prestigious scholarship is paid out upon completion of the programme and is a testament to Matthew's hard work and dedication to his craft. Here's what Matthew had to say:
"Hi, I have been working as a Trainee Surveyor for CKL Te Awamutu for the past 10 months. Alongside work, I have been studying towards a National Diploma in Surveying through the Toi Ohomai Institute. I was pleased to learn that I have been chosen to receive the 2022 CSNZ Scholarship towards these studies. With a young family and at the beginning of a new career path, I am very grateful for this scholarship, as well as the ongoing support and guidance I have received from CKL and my colleagues in the CKL surveying team. I am excited to continue growing my knowledge, skills, and experience as a surveyor in the years to come."
