Transportation Conference: Let’s Get Wellington Moving project
With the Transportation Conference returning to Tauranga at the end of this month, as a silver sponsor we’re looking forward to taking part and connecting with others working in the transport space.
We’re also sponsoring the Technical Tours at the conference which include a cycling, bus and walking tour around Tauranga.
In the conference lead up, we’re going to showcase some of our work in this space. First up is our work with Let's Get Wellington Moving (LGWM).
Our Principal Transport Planner Mark Haseley is providing technical assurance services for LGWM’s transformational programme. LGWM is a multi-decade programme of investment in Wellington’s transport and urban development, and is a joint initiative between Wellington City Council, Greater Wellington Regional Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. It aims to deliver a transformational, city-shaping programme that will support the city’s growth and make it easier and safer for people to get around the capital.
This transformational programme includes the proposed mass rapid transport system, and Strategic Highways Improvements to State Highway 1, focused on multi-modal network efficiency and safety.
